Who We Are: Founded in June 2018 by four passionate trustees rooted in the communities of Saddleworth, Greater Manchester, The Outdoor Collaborative is a catalyst for change. Motivated by a desire to address the challenges faced by local young adults, our journey began with a vision to bridge the gap in opportunities.

Our Inspiration: Drawing from our love for the British countryside, we discovered the transformative power of guided walks on mental health. Witnessing the positive impact firsthand, we envisioned a unique approach to outdoor experiences for young adults.

Why Choose Us: At The Outdoor Collaborative, we go beyond traditional charity work. We offer a dynamic platform for individuals, especially young people, to not only develop essential life skills but also open doors to future employment opportunities. Through our outings, creative works become stepping stones showcased to potential employers, providing a tangible path to success.

The Digital Edge: Fueled by a passion for digital media, our trustees recognised its ability to spark creativity and inspiration. By seamlessly integrating digital media training into our guided walks, we empower young adults to harness their skills. This not only connects them with the beauty of the British countryside but also serves as a catalyst for personal and professional growth.

Our Commitment: More than just a charity, we genuinely care about the well-being of the young people we serve. By encouraging them to embrace the outdoors and unleash their creativity, we contribute to improved mental health and an enhanced overall quality of life.

Join us on a journey that transcends traditional charity work, where each step is a stride towards a brighter future for young adults in Greater Manchester.
