TOC Joins UK Youth’s Active Futures Programme
We’re excited to share that The Outdoor Collaborative has been selected to take part in UK Youth’s Active Futures programme, delivered in partnership with Sport England and The Young Foundation.
Active Futures exists to help youth organisations like ours build more inclusive, effective models of outdoor and sporting activity. Rather than simply funding more sessions, the programme supports organisations through co-design workshops, testing, structured training and peer learning with other youth-sector organisations working on similar challenges across the country.
For TOC, this is a chance to strengthen something we already believe in: that outdoor learning and creative skills like photography and filmmaking sit naturally alongside young people’s wellbeing. Being part of Active Futures gives us space to test new formats, from drone experiences to co-designed sessions, and to build on our existing Nature Vibes programme with a sharper focus on what young people themselves say they need.
We’re proud to be listed among Active Futures’ participating organisations on UK Youth’s own website, and even more excited about what this partnership will help us learn and deliver over the coming months. Watch this space for updates as our first Active Futures-supported sessions get underway.
